Accomplished professor and pianist, Frank Magliocco, passed away on December 27, 2019 in Price, Utah at the Parkdale Care Center at the age of 96. Frank attended Carbon County Schools, received his Bachelor of Arts from BYU through the G.I.B. He also attended the University of Southern California and received a Doctorate Degree from Claremont Graduate School. Frank also attended the Julliard School of Music in New York and was principal clarinetists for the New York Philharmonic Guild Orchestra.
Frank was a Professor at the Citrus Community College in Glendora, California for over 40 years. Some of his students went onto Julliard and appeared in Carnegie Hall. Throughout Frank’s years, he performed in many recitals and concerts. He retired to Helper, UT to live with his brother Joe and sister Mary and to care for his mother Josephine.
Frank is survived by his nieces, Phyllis Schaffeld and Konnie Pitts; nephew, Mickey Magliocco; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Special care was taken by his grandniece Bambi Erramouspe. Frank will be greatly missed, along with his always informative and educational talks with family members and loved ones. Frank and his niece Phyllis shared in daily conversations, which she will miss dearly.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike and Joe; sisters, Grace and Mary.
