The Price City’s Culture Connection is excited to be hosting their first free concert of the year on Thursday, January 9 at 7:00 pm at the Price Civic Auditorium located at 185 East Main Street.
“The auditorium was built when the city building was built, in the 30s, I think but it was restored a few years ago, totally repainted and then the last few years we’ve worked a lot on the sound system and the sound system is terrific. Great place. One of the best places in the area, really, to listen to a concert,” said Price City Council Member, Layne Miller. The setting is a perfect way for community members to come listen to Out The Back Door which is a band that is a local favorite in the area. The band has been playing together for several years and their musical influences range from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, The Zac Brown Band and so many more. With their unique sound, they will have the audience singing and dancing along with them all evening long.
The Culture Connection is a free event that is hosted every Thursday evening during the summer months. Culture Connection has already booked bands for the upcoming summer concert series that will start in June. “Pacific Range is a group that was recommended by The Deltaz, they’re from Southern California, from the coast, really good music, we’ve listened to some of their music, they’re coming. Of course, we have Route 89 will be back, I’m sure The Deltaz will be here – they’re not booked yet but we always work real hard to get them and the Jeff Keele Band has been booked already,” explained Miller. This is a great opportunity during the summer season for family, friends and neighbors to gather at the Price City Peace Gardens to enjoy the live, talented, entertainment from various musical artists.
