Our mother, wife, friend and kindest soul anyone could have the pleasure of knowing, as well as the best cook-in the kitchen, Myrtle Arlene Brown Cook, 73, passed away on February 22, 2020.

She was born March 17, 1946 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Cleo and Dorothy Ranny Brown. Myrtle married Roger Dale Cook on March 30, 1969 in Boise, Idaho.

Her loss is impossible to put into words. Myrtle was the kind of person we all aspire to be. There was always room in her heart, home and table. She had the most beautiful way of inspiring and teaching everyone to be the best version of themselves. There isn’t one person that came into contact with her that didn’t feel her warmth and light. She touched so many lives with her sweet spirit, humility, generosity and willingness to accept anyone and everyone. There was no one more willing to put all others’ needs before her own; her strength was unfathomable.

The depth of her faith and love for our Savior gives us all strength, comfort and steadfast belief in God’s plan. Although this world feels like a less beautiful place without her, her light lives on through her wonderful husband of 51 years, Roger Cook, her beautiful children, grandchildren and every person whose life she touched. The void she leaves behind can never be filled.

Rest in peace, until we meet again.

Myrtle is survived by her loving husband Roger; children, Sonja (Brian) Evans, Helper, Utah, Luke (Anita) Cook, Greene, ME, Becca (Curtis) Warnick, West Richland, WA, Matt (Ronnie) Cook, Moab, Utah; siblings, Marilyn Brown, Leora Brown, Ruth Cox, Richard Brown; five grandchildren, Dillan, Cameron, Emily, Micah, Breanna; two great-grandchildren, Paytin and Sophia.
