The Southeastern Utah Health Department is excited to host Officer Jermaine Galloway, founder of The Tall Cop Says Stop. He will be making an appearance here in the Carbon County area on Thursday, April 2 and will be offering two free sessions; both will take place inside the USU Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. Guests must be over the age of 18 years old in order to attend.

“Jermaine Galloway has 20 years of law enforcement experience, he started as an officer up in Idaho. Really what he has done is he has basically all this knowledge in marijuana, in the marijuana culture and he’s created a company and a presentation where he will share this with communities, law enforcement, medical staff, educators, anyone that basically wants to learn more about the marijuana culture,” said UHP Captain Steve Salas. The National Presenter, Galloway has trained more than 300,000 people nationwide and internationally. Both training sessions will focus on local/current Utah statewide drug trends and local information.

The first presentation is a workshop type setting that will begin at 9:00 am till 3:30 pm and is entitled “High in Plain Sight.” This session is geared towards law enforcement entities, school administrators, drug and specialty court officials, and parents/guardians. Topics include stash compartments, concealment methods, over the counter drugs, herbal drugs, drugs available on-line, marijuana concentrated and much more.

The second session is a community/parent night that will take place at 6:00 pm till 7:30 pm and this session must have 75 or more individuals registered in order for the evening’s presentation to take place. This presentation explains the current drug and alcohol terms in simple language for each attendee to apply what they learn in their community, school or at home. Individuals who wish to attend one or both of the sessions are urged to register immediately on eventbrite.com.
