Joyce Loree Colby Colacito, 85, passed away March 6, 2020 at Pinnacle Care Center in Price where she resided for the past 13 years.

She was born July 13, 1934 in Huntington, Utah to Eldwin R. Colby and Zina Loree Marshall. On March 3, 1956, she married Daniel Colacito in Helper, Utah; their marriage was solemnized in the Bountiful Temple on January 13, 1996. Daniel preceded her in death on August 24, 1997.

Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a sweet spirit who will always be remembered for her generosity and as an exceptional caregiver to her beloved family. She was a mighty angel as she cared for her husband during years of his terrible illness and she never complained. Joyce was a vibrant soul even when she lost her memories and her wonderful smile could light up a room. She lived up to her name “Joyce” because she was always a joy to be around. She enjoyed good food, loving her grandchildren and socializing with her friends at the Senior Center. Joyce was blessed with many lifelong friends and acquaintances who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her girls, Angelina (Ricky) Cook, Grand Junction, CO, Annette (Moses) Vigil, Price, Darlene (Bill) Juber, Wellington, Virginia May (Thommy Price), Price, Dana Colacito, Wellington; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, William (Marveline) Colby, Huntington, Jay (Juanita) Colby, La Verkin, Elree (Donna) Colby, Chandler, AZ.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Colacito; son, Anthony Colacito; siblings, Clive, Bernice, Geneen, Diane and Lewellen.

Funeral service, Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
