Price City each month sends a representative to Castle Country Radio to keep listeners posted or informed on various topics. This month the update was done over the telephone with Price City Council Member, Amy Knott-Jespersen who spoke on the city’s essential services that are still open.

“Our essential businesses are open, our essential services; you can still get a business license, you can still get a building permit, our parks are still open and our tennis courts are open,” said Knott-Jespersen. Community members of all ages can enjoy a walk or run along the Price River Walkway which is located south of town.

Residents that are feeling the financial pinch during the pandemic can find some relief as the Utility Department is willing to work with individuals with an outstanding bill.  “So if you are having a hardship that is due to the coronavirus, if you’ve been laid off, furloughed, hours cut back the Utility Department doesn’t want to become this iron fist, you must pay your bill, we are willing to work with citizens, our customers and make payment arrangements so all you have to do is give them a call,” explained Knott-Jespersen. The Utility Department has new business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and can be reached at (435) 636-3196.

City officials have been working closely with State Officials on the latest news and updates of the CONVID-19 situation. Knott-Jesperson finished by sharing a message from Mayor Mike Kourianos, “The mayor just wants everyone to know that Price City remains open and committed to providing essential services. He says, these times are hard but he’s very glad he lives in Price because he knows that we all have each other’s backs.”
