Keith L Burrows, born December 12, 1933, cast his last line on April 16, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.
Keith was born in Springville, Utah to Lorin and Grace Burrows. After high school, Keith worked his way up through the ranks at Utah Power and Light (now PacificCorp), moving to Carbon County to make his lifelong home where he helped in the construction and operation of the Carbon Power Plant. He was involved in the local civil air patrol and maintained a pilot’s license for many years. Ultimately, he retired early as the Carbon plant supervisor and spent his time focused on his hobbies and grandchildren.
Keith was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed numerous outside activities, such as hunting and camping. He had a lifelong passion and talent for fishing. Keith spent thousands of hours catching fish all over the Intermountain West, with stream fishing being favored. His favorite part of fishing trips were when he included family members. He has taught multiple generations how to cast and catch. Keith exemplified a generation of hard workers, and this was obvious with the pride he took in his home and garden, where he generously shared the bounty it produced. His talents continued in the kitchen, where Keith could prepare anything, from steak dinners to homemade desserts. His fresh raspberry ice cream was a popular request by many at family gatherings. His smile and sense of humor will be remembered and missed by all those that knew Keith.
Survived by his wife, Vicki Burrows, of Carbonville; two surviving children, Kent (Jan) Burrows, Spring Glen, Bradley Burrows, Salt Lake City; siblings, Hal (Martha), Springville, Marilyn Shoell, Orem, Bruce (Cherie) of Riverdale; eleven grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
