Cody Allen and Ricky Sandoval claimed first place in the 3rd Annual All-Night Lunatic Horseshoe Tournament Friday night at Washington Park in Price.
The double elimination tournament featured 12 total teams for the unique competition that kicked-off at 10:00 pm. In front of a large group of spectators, Allen and Sandoval completed the tournament unbeaten as they defeated the second place team of Clinton Badback and Dustin Lofley twice.
The tournament, which runs in conjunction with the Lunatic Triathlon, came to an end at 2:00 am. Dale and Cody Davis finished in third place, taking home the final spot for money rewards.
With the summer now in full swing horseshoe tournaments will continue in the coming weeks with the next taking place at Pleasant Valley Days on Saturday, July 2. Two days later another will be open for community members, coinciding with the annual Energy Days event.
