Donald D. Cox, age 87, passed away peacefully June 22, 2016 at his home.

He was born September 8, 1928 in Haviland, Kansas to Ira Alpheus Cox and Myrtle Beatrice Gaddis.  In 1953, Don married Edna Hatch in Blanding, Utah and they were blessed with two children prior to their divorce.  Married Darlene Lamb Huber in 1974; she preceded him in death in 1990.  On September 25, 1993, Don married AnnaBelle Atwood Holdaway in Price.  Don and AnnaBelle enjoyed many years of traveling together.

Don was very patriotic and it was an honor for him to serve in the US Army during Korea in the Panama.  He was a member of the Utah/Idaho Teamsters Union where he worked on many highway, power plant and water projects throughout Utah.  When Don wasn’t working, he always found time to go hiking, camping, fishing or hunting.  Don will be sorely missed by all.

Don is survived by his wife, AnnaBelle Cox, Price; daughter, Terry L. Prewett, Nampa, ID; son, D. Blane (Tish) Cox, Bremerton, WA; sister, Ruth Ann Cox, Mesquite, NV. Darlene’s children, Rita (Dusty) Mecham, Denver, CO, Vickie Rasmussen, Randy (Barcy) Huber, all of Roosevelt, the late Mike Huber (Tanny), Cranberry, PA, Gregory Huber, Abu Dhabi. AnnaBelle’s children, Tom (Loyette) Holdaway, Huntington, Anna Lee (Ray) Sorenson, Price, Will (Janine) Holdaway, Ogden, Penny (Dennis) Christensen, Shelley, ID, Tim (Richele) Holdaway, Price; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Merle and Lindon; sisters, Donita and Lesta; and son-in-law, Billy Prewett.

Funeral service, Monday, June 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Price Third LDS Ward (303 West 500 South) in Price.  Family will receive friends at the church Monday one hour prior to service.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Don online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
