Millsite Reservoir will play host to the 2016 Millsite Fishing Derby on September 24, offering enthusiasts a competition based event for the popular past time.

Registration for the event is currently open to the first 125 people. The cost to participate is $50 per person during the pre-registration phase. Online registrations is currently availbale at finsandfurguiding.com.

$1,000.00 will be on the line as participants battle against one another for the day. Second place will pay $750.00, and third place $500.00. There will also be an hourly prize of $100.00 for the biggest fish caught in that time frame.

Cabela’s and Sportsman’s Warehouse will work as tournament sponsors in the fun-filled event. Each participant will also receive a drawing ticket for an opportunity to win a kayak, fish finder, gift cards and more.
