Carbon, Emery, and Grand Utah – The HOPE Squad of Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties in partnership with the Southeast Utah Health Department and Carbon Corridor is excited to present “Hoo Doo You Run For?” 5k/10k Run or Walk for Suicide Awareness taking place on November 7, 2020 at Goblin Valley State Park featuring Ryan Stream as the Keynote Speaker.

The “Hoo Doo You Run For?” 5k/10k Run or Walk for Suicide Awareness is a fundraising event for the HOPE Squad of Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties. Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties lead the state in suicide deaths per capita but only receive 2% of the state’s overall budget to make a difference. It is important to the Squad to raise money to provide opportunities for education, prevention, intervention, and postvention efforts, as well as events for suicide attempt survivors as well as survivors of suicide loss.

To register, please visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/117570066233. This is an IN-PERSON event that will take all necessary COVID19 precautions for the safety of the participants. The cost for pre-registering (now through October 16, 2020) is $65.00/participant. After October 16th and through October 30th, the cost is $75.00/participant. The HOPE Squad of Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties’ mission is to educate, promote, and spread awareness for a healthier community with an emphasis on mental health, suicide prevention, support for suicide loss survivors, and to cultivate a stigma-free approach to seeking help. Together with the partnerships, support, and expertise of multiple agencies throughout the counties, the Squad’s overall goal is to reduce the number of people who die by suicide. The HOPE Squad of Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties and Carbon Corridor would like to ask you, “Hoo Doo You Run For?”
