James Wes Copfer, age 74, passed away at his home on October 31, 2020.

He was born July 15, 1946 in Price, Utah to John and Josephine Nick Copfer.

Married Karen Kay Shiner in Las Vegas, Nevada, she passed away October 23, 2013.

As a young boy Jimmy excelled in baseball and as he grew up his love for sports was evident by his avid love for the 49ers.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and the BBQ’s were the top of his list.  Jimmy went to Vietnam in the 60’s serving in the US Army, and when he returned from there he went to work in the coal mines of Carbon County.  We will miss you and we love you Jimmy, and we hope you are at last in peace.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Evan and RaMae Hansen, Dave and Tammy Hoffman, Alice Regruto and Destiny and Cody Torres.

Survived by his siblings, Judy (Brian) Albiser, Las Vegas, Joyce Burnnett, California, Joany Copfer, Price, Jeany (Albert Dicaro) Speirs, Price, Jack Copfer, Price, Johnny Copfer, Las Vegas; two step children; many special grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay Copfer; grandparents, John and Judith Copfer and John and Maria Nick; aunt, Joyce Copfer.

Graveside service, Thursday, November 5, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Cliffview Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 a.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
