What does the Lady Eagles volleyball squad do to top a season in which they collected a record amount of wins, spent ten weeks in the NJCAA Top 20 and defeated six nationally ranked programs? You go out and bring in some local talent.

Previously the Lady Eagles signed Makenna Blanc to a letter of intent, Now they will welcome Katie Jones and Emma Christensen for next season.

Jones and Christensen were both instrumental in Carbon’s 20-4 record which included a 4th place finish in the 3A State Volleyball Championship Tournament last month.

Katie Jones finished her senior campaign for the Dinos recording 617 digs on the season which placed her at the top of 3A and No. 2 in the state across all classifications.

Emma Christensen wrapped up her final year at Carbon with 449 kills which was enough for No. 1 in 3A and No. 6 in the state. Also, her 466 digs put her in the top 10 in the state as well.

With Blanc, Jones and Christensen on the roster the Lady Eagles volleyball game will have a local flair when they begin play in the fall of 2021.

The conference season for USU Eastern Volleyball is scheduled to begin in February of 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions winter sports programs for USU Eastern’s 2020 season are scheduled to begin in January of 2021.
