
The Carbon Dinos welcomed Uintah and Gunnison high schools to the pool in Price on Tuesday, at the end of it all, the girls teams came away with first place team finish and the boys claimed second.
For the ladies this makes a perfect 4-0 start to the season as they are trying to “three-peat” as 3A Champions.
Alyssa Chamberlain claimed a victory in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:46.11, she also nocthed a first place finish in the 100 yard free clocking in at 1:03.33, team mate Tyrca Jaramillo was close behind with a time of 1:03.33 and Thalyn Lyman finished third. Lyman also grabbed first in the 50 yard free with a time of 28.29, Sofia Crompton took second with 28.57 and Jaramillo ended in third with 28.82, giving Carbon the 1,2,3 finish in the two events. Sofia Crompton would claim the top spot in the 100 yard fly with a time of 1:14.07.
In the relays the ladies team of Chamberlain, Lyman, Crompton and Nicole Swasey took first place for the Dinos with a time of 2:08.15 in the 200 yard medley relay, and the team of Chamberlain, Crompton, Lyman and Haylie Powell earned the first place finish in the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:54.47.
For the boys Camden Chamberlain claimed the top spot in the 200 yard free with a finishing time of 2:10.86.
