Coming off of a win at Salem Hills, the Lady Spartans would travel to St. George to take on the Pine View Panthers on Tuesday night. After falling behind in the first quarter by 10 points, Emery couldn’t turn it around and took a 62-28 loss.

The Pine View team sits at a perfect 6-0 and comes out of the 4A class, in fact they currently sit atop the 4A rankings for the state.

The Panthers jumped out in the first quarter to a quick 18-8 lead, that proved to be too much for the Spartans. Emery was held to single digit scoring in all four quarters in the loss.

Leading the way for the Spartans was Tambrie Tuttle, she scored 12 points. Baylee Jacobsen added five and Bethany Justice four. Brielle Rowley with three and Daicee Ungerman and Aliya Lester each added two to round out the scoring for Emery.

They will have some time off now as they will not take to the floor again until Thursday the 7th of January when they will be on the road at Richfield. Another road contest awaits them on January 14th as they will travel to Price to take on the Carbon Dinos.

The next home game is scheduled for Tuesday January 19 when they welcome the Grand County Red Devils to the Spartan Center.
