The Price Boys and Girls Club have settled into their new digs quite comfortably and just recently got signage installed on the building. They are now ready to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and invite the community to watch it virtually on their Facebook page. Program Director, Jessica Haro took time to visit Castle Country Radio to talk about this event and to discuss what has been happening at the Boys and Girls Club.

“We are so excited. So the ribbon cutting is going to be January 12 at noon. Because of COVID, everything its going to be virtual online. It can be found on our Facebook live and as well we’re going to set up a virtual tour. So even after this ribbon cutting if you happen to miss it that’s okay, you can go on our Facebook page and take a tour through our Facebook and see it like as if you were walking through the building, it’s really neat,” explained Haro. The organization is happy to have found its new home after having to leave its previous location because the building was sold.

The Price Boys and Girls Club is an after-school program for grades kindergarten to twelfth grade. “We offer a lot of programs and experiences to kids that normally wouldn’t get anywhere else or just the cost as well. There’s a lot of places for kids to go to but sometimes its really costly. Our main focus is to provide as many opportunities to kids regardless of your income or your background. Our main three focuses is academics, good character and leadership, and health. We want to teach them to be all-around good people in their community in the future,” stated Haro. Its very affordable for your child to be a member of the Price Boys and Girls Club, it’s $20.00 for the entire year.
