The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their first board meeting to plan out their new year. Executive Director, Jennifer Acklin stopped by Castle Country Radio to talk about the upcoming meeting as well as about upcoming ribbon cutting ceremonies.

The upcoming Chamber Board Meeting will be taking place on Thursday, January 7 at 9:00 am. “Lots of decisions for the year. We have our First Responders Banquet that we’re still planning on doing but due to COVID we can’t give the attention that we want to give it, it’s a pretty big banquet that we do every year. We’re going to talk about maybe getting some luncheons together. We didn’t have one in December but we do like to have those planned out for the year. As far as getting our entire board out there and helping to promote the area, we need to get everybody on board and kind of refocus where we’re going to do that, kind of get everybody assigned to their area and shoot for it,” stated Acklin. If any individuals who would like to attend the Chamber Board Meeting can contact the chamber office to get the details of the Zoom Meeting. Generally, monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 9:00 am.

There are some upcoming Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies scheduled to take place this month as Acklin explains, “We have a few new businesses, a couple in Helper. One that’s not actually a new business, it more feels like a re-opening but we would love to give it the attention it deserves, the Boys and Girls Club. We’ve got Timeless Art over in Helper, it’s a new art gallery; and Skin n’ Tonic which she focuses on esthetician type like facials and waxing and that type of stuff.” Further details on the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremonies will come at a later date.
