
Our beloved son, brother, grandson, fierce competitor and loyal friend, Chad Shea Collard, 23, passed away February 3, 2021 from a motor vehicle accident while traveling home from work.
He was born October 12, 1997 in Payson, Utah to Christian Hal and Marilyn Palmer Collard. Chad was a longtime resident of Emery County where he was an all-around athlete who could compete in any sport and run toe-to-toe with the best in the country. He excelled in competition and was the 2007 Junior Golden Gloves National Champion, 2-time Beehive Brawl Champion and a 2-time Junior High Champion. Chad lived his life to fullest and he especially enjoyed the outdoors, wakeboarding, snowboarding, listening to music and rapping. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Bridge Source at the Bridger Power Plant in Wyoming.
Chad touched the lives of many and his parting has left a void that can never be filled. Rest in peace Chad, you’ll be in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his parents, Christian and Marilyn Collard of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Cory (Hailey) Collard of Provo, Clay Collard and Cezly Collard, both of Burley, Idaho, Hunter Hatch of Rock Springs, Wyoming; grandparents, Clifford Dean Collard of Huntington, Kathy JillAnn (Jim) Hanna of Ferron; and many loving aunts, uncles and loyal friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, LaRena Mortensen Collard and Winston Ray Palmer.
Graveside service, Monday, February 8, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at the Huntington City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Huntington Stake Center Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. A celebration of Chad’s life will follow at the Huntington City Park at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Chad online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
