Segment 3: How did a pack of baseball cards ignite the inspiration for a book called "The Wax Pack"?
Pat Smuin and Zac Jones joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports Friday afternoon to talk about the CJ Smuin Hitting Camp, which will make its return to Carbon County on January 26 and 27.
The mission of the CJ Smuin Memorial Foundation is to bring about positive change in the lives of young people regarding suicide prevention, awareness. The foundation hosts camps, guest speakers, and other events focused around suicide prevention and awareness, support other organizations with similar goals, and through the CJ Smuin Memorial Baseball Scholarship.
Registration for the camp is open now until Nov. 15 and tickets to the dinner banquet will be available through December 15.
Carbon High School track and field coach Jim Jewkes was a guest on KOAL's Drive Time Sports Monday afternoon. During his time on the show Coach Jewkes talked about the team's performance over the weekend at the Eastern Utah Championships and also about the progress both teams continue to make.
On Monday's show Jordan Buscarini is joined by Carbon High School track and field coach Jimmy Jewkes, who recapped the first meet of the season from this past Saturday. Drive Time Sports NBA analyst James Holas also joins the show to talk about the Western Conference play-in race, the recent struggles of the Clippers and surges from the Cavs and Magic.
