The Helper Clinic has pharmacy services available at their location to assist those members of the community who may need prescriptions. Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the telephone with Pharmacist, Mike Smith to talk about their services.

“The clinic has been in Helper I believe 10 or 11 years, or there abouts and we added a pharmacy to this location actually four years ago this month,” said Smith. “We are a full-service pharmacy. We are open five days a week and we’re there to help manage patient’s needs and any of their disease states or illnesses that we can help with.” One of the great services that they now offer is the delivery service. They delivery medication to their patients 5 days a week and go as far as Wellington once a week.

The pharmacy prides themselves in conducting good consultations with their patients. “You know what we offer is making sure the patients are aware what the medications are for what they are taking. Let them know what to expect from that medication and also some possible side effects that they should be aware of and really just helping make it understandable to the patient why the doctor has prescribed them on this medication,” said Smith. The staff makes sure that all questions and concerns by the patients are answered and addressed before the patient leaves.

The Helper Clinic including the pharmacy accepts all medical insurances both private and Medicare. “One of the other unique services that we do offer is our sliding scale discount fee for patients who qualify for that and they can come talk to us or the clinic for what the specific requirements are to fall into that program,” said Smith. They want to make sure there are affordable solutions to quality healthcare for everyone.
