Levi Eugene “Buddy” Cloward was born April 4, 2008 in Price, Utah.  Fate soon united him with foster parents Bill and KriKit Butcher, who became the only mother and father he ever knew.  Our beloved “Buddy,” age 13, passed away April 25, 2021 in the comforts of his home.

Diagnosed at a very young age with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, Levi never gained the ability to walk, speak, or even eat.  Despite this, Levi led as full a life as his physical condition would allow.  He attended the Castle Valley Center for several years, riding the school bus back and forth.  He traveled with his family, and loved spending time outdoors.  He loved animals and animals loved him.  He had an affinity for Star Wars, and loved taking part in family activities.

The family would like to thank the local doctors, the specialists at Primary Children’s Hospital, the state foster care caseworkers, hospice team and Jack and Lisa Chapman that cared for Buddy.  Without their constant support, his life would have been very different.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and KriKit Butcher, sister Sally Butcher, grandparents C. D. and Paula Butcher, Larry and Vickie Hathaway, and Sandy Ward, special aunt and uncle, Jack and Lisa Chapman, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Tom Ward and his aunt Marlene Garlick.
