Theresa (Tessie) Ori Wheeler was born on February 22, 1949 in Salt Lake City. She was the daughter of Anthony (Tony) and Theresa Fazzio Ori.

Tessie attended Notre Dame Regional School graduating in 1967. She then attended cosmetology school in Price, while also working at the Point After in Helper. She married William (Bill) Wheeler at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helper, Utah on November 20, 1982.

Theresa and Bill moved to Salt Lake City where she worked in the cafeteria at Holy Cross Hospital while attending St. Ann Catholic Church. When Theresa’s mother needed full time care, they moved her in with them in Salt Lake City. Bill and Theresa cared for Theresa Ori until her passing. Bill and Theresa then decided to move back to the family home in Spring Glen. Bill passed away on March 26, 2013, and Theresa missed him every day. She passed peacefully in her home on April 26, 2021.

Theresa’s Funeral Mass will be at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends at the church Monday one hour prior to the mass. Committal service will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper, beside her husband Bill.
