Wednesday's Drive Time Sports featured Emery High School girl's basketball coach Lynn Tuttle, who talked about the team's non-region slate and Thursday's division opener against Richfield. Also, Devonta Smith wins the Heisman and Steph Curry is on a hot streak.
Football Tuesday returns to Drive Time Sports. During the show Jordan Buscarini is joined by Vinnie Rondinelli who helped preview the AFC and NFC Championship games, plus talked about storylines regarding quarterbacks throughout the league for those teams who have been eliminated.
Teams of 13-year-olds from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah will descend upon Carbon County in late July for the opportunity to represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the World Series held in New York in mid-August. One local team, the Battle 13U squad, will be coached by Darek Martinez, Rob Smith, Justin Powell, and Timmy Urbanik and represent Carbon County.
Ahead of the upcoming tournament, three members of the Battle team joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports. Jace Bosone, Nate Tatton, and Jason Cowley all talked about a recent tournament, this year's team, and the upcoming Pacific Southwest Regional.
