miss-carbon-county-send-off

The Miss Carbon County organization is hosting a Send-off Party for Miss Carbon County Megan Mower on Monday, June 7 at 7:00 pm at Mont Harmon Middle School located at 60 West 400 North. Come show your support and wish her good luck at this free event.

“So my Send-off is going to be Monday, June 7 at 7:00 pm at Mont Harmon. Admission is free. If you come, I’ll be doing pretty much everything that’ll be working on all week at Miss Utah, all in one night there so the community can come see that a little easier than driving up north and trying to get tickets and see Miss Utah up there,” explained Mower. She will be modeling her competition wardrobe, perform her talent and discuss her social impact initiative.

Mower was asked what she has gained since competing in pageants, “I have done pageants just for the last couple of years, I haven’t always done them. I have gained a better knowledge of pretty much everything, it teaches you a lot. I was very blown away by everything pageants actually involve. I have loved meeting new people, I’ve loved learning new things, going to ribbon cuttings and just some of those little events in our county is awesome to be a part of. I have loved it all.”  Young women ages 17 to 24 years are eligible to compete in the Miss Carbon County Pageant.

The Miss Utah pageant will be a week-long competition with events scheduled almost every day for that week. “So on the 8th we’re going to do the Show us Your Shoes Parade, and this is awesome because you don’t need tickets or anything. So if anybody wants to come up to the Riverwoods in Provo that’s at 6:30 pm on June 8. Then we are going to skip a day and go to June 10 is when I’ll do the on-stage question and my social impact pitch. Then the 11th at 3:00 pm there is a matinee, I’ll be doing by talent, and also on the 11th at 7:00 pm is when I do my final walk and my final wear. Then there’s the finals night the next day so that’s how the week is going to go,” explained Mower.

Upon returning from the state pageant Miss Carbon County, who is the daughter of Danny and Teresa Mower, will continue her duties by making public appearances along with her court at several community events throughout the summer.
