Our beautiful mom, Velora Anderson, ran into the arms of her loving sweetheart of 54 years on July 29, 2021. She was faithful and valiant in her unwavering testimony of her Heavenly Father and her Savior. Her eyes were always fixed on the temple of her Lord where she and her eternal companion were sealed together on August 29, 1980 in the Manti Utah Temple.

Mom was born on a beautiful, crisp morning following Easter Sunday on March 28, 1940 in Price, Utah to Ralph P. and Effie Branch Anderson. She was the youngest of nine children, born while her father was confined to a wheelchair due to Lateral Sclerosis. He passed away when she was four years old. When she was 11, her mom married her beloved daddy, Frank Liddell.

She loved her family and doing things for them. She was a beautiful soprano, singing for many church, family and friend events. Velora was an amazing seamstress who sewed beautiful clothing and quilts for her children and grandchildren. She worked at Koret of California for several years. She loved the Gospel with all her heart and was overjoyed as her children chose to receive the blessings of the temple, sealing our families together forever. Velora loved more than anything attending as many temples as she could and as often as she could with her sweetheart and her family.

She married Hal Frederick Anderson on August 29, 1956 in Wellington, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on their 25th anniversary. Hal died March 23, 2010.

Velora is survived by her children, Ronald (Megan) Anderson, Nampa, ID., Cindy (Dennis) Marshall, Price, Nelda (Bill) Callor, Elk Ridge, Dorothy Galbreth, West Jordan, Rodney “Scott” Anderson, Price; in-laws, Betty Anderson, Millie Anderson, both of Wellington, Marlene (Richard) Peterson, Farmington, New Mexico, Sandra Nichols, Carbonville; 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and one great-great-grandson.

Preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, Shawn and Jennifer Anderson, Jacob Marshall; four brothers, Clifford (LaVerl), Merlynn (Dee), DeLoy and Richard Anderson; and two sisters, Arlene (Bob) Conger and Carol (Brent) Munson.
