Richard Ellis Averill, age 78, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2021at Pinnacle Care & Rehab in Price.

He was born February 28, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clair and Ruth Olsen Averill.

Richard attended Salt Lake Community College and lived in the Friendship Manner for 10 years.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survived by his daughters, Teresa (Verle) Izatt and Heather Vance; nine grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Kellie Lynn Averill; parents; brother, Eugene Averill.

Funeral service, Thursday, August 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., East Carbon LDS ward chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, East Carbon City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
