Karl Fletcher Kraync, Sr., age 76, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at home while surrounded by his family after a short courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

Karl’s roots run deep in Carbon County.  He was born in Standardville, Utah on May 16, 1945 to Frank Kraync and Alma Mary Fletcher.

He married Linda Draney on June 29, 1968 and they had three children they raised in Helper.

Karl was born the same year Kraync Motor opened.  He grew up working there and eventually became the owner/operator.  He has sold countless cars and his customers became like family.

After 37 years at Vocational Rehabilitation serving his clients and being District Director, Karl retired and opened his own counseling practice.  Karl loved each of his clients and gave them his all.

Over the years, Karl has devoted a great deal of time to the furtherance and development of the community.  He has sat on many boards and committees and received too many awards to mention.  Karl worked tirelessly to serve his family, clients, customers and community.  He worked through his treatment up to the day before he died taking care of everyone else.  Once you were a friend to Karl you were a friend for life.  He was loyal to all those he cared about always making calls and “welfare checks” or sending cards to his friends and family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
