The final Helper Saturday Vibes event will take place on Saturday, September 4 at 4:00 pm at the Helper Main Street Park. Coordinators, Kimberly Kuehn and Noel Toomajian stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.

This summer event has been a huge success for the community of Helper as Kuehn explains, “It’s been above and beyond successful. The community has really supported it and Carbon County in general just because of the attendance and creating the opportunities for musicians, and businesses, and non-profits, and movements. This is the community forum that we are building.” The event organizers have worked alongside the city to put on this event throughout the summer and are looking forward to bringing it back again next summer.

This week’s Saturday Vibes will feature a band that is well known in the area, Shuffle who will take the stage at 4:00 pm on the Helper Main Street Park. The second band that will take the stage at 7:00 pm and they are called Silver Kings. “Its originally a band, Motherload that has played for over 25 years together and this is an offshoot of their new band is called Silver Kings. They are a jam band that does covers, and original, and they are a dancing band,” said Kuehn. Visitors are urged to get their early, set up their lawn chairs and/or blankets to have a good time all evening.

There will be several food trucks on hand this Saturday for guests to enjoy several items for dinner. “We love having Mambo Truck, and El Sarten out, and this weekend we also have Slosh Burgers. They are a new food vendor for us, they were actually with us last weekend. So if you liked them, come out again, they’re doing sloppy joes and grilled cheese. Super unique for the area in that they just have their own formula going, it’s pretty fun,” explained Toomajian. Most items for sale are very reasonable priced and affordable. So plan on listening to some great music and enjoying some delicious food too.

The entire Saturday Vibes events held all summer would not be possible without the sponsors. “First and foremost, we would love to thank the Helper Project. They’re our stage sponsors, they are allowing us to get 16 bands on our stage this season and probably a lot more next year,” said Toomajian. Organizers will host several round table discussions as they plan for next year’s events.
