The USU Extension Office of Carbon County would like the community to participate in the Homebuyer Education Panel Discussion taking place on Monday, September 13 at 6:30 pm. Castle Country Radio sat down with Stacy Abbott and Christina Pay to discuss all the details of the event.
“We’ll have experts from the community. We’ll have a realtor, Mike Metzer. We have Barbara Fausett from Southeastern league of governments, Kathy Fausett who’s a local lender and then myself and we’ll be talking about buying a home. So it’s not just for first time homebuyers. Actually, most people who have purchased a home they are still confused by the process and so this is just a good opportunity to learn about homebuying,” said Abbott. This is a perfect occasion to get those questions you have on homebuying answered by the experts in our community. This will be a Facebook live event so folks will need to get on the USU Extension – Carbon County page to access the event.
Starting September 22, the Quick and Easy Cooking series is back again as Pay explains, “We are stepping it up a little bit and doing a hybrid event. So we’ll have our Facebook live for everybody at home to view but we will also allow 20 people to come be a part of the studio audience. To be a part of that you will need to get tickets and those will be available on Eventbrite starting today and it’s free. So the first 20, first come, first serve they can come watch this in person, ask questions, and hopefully be able to taste some of the goodies that we will have there for them.” The first Quick and Easy Cooking series will feature a garden veggie pizza and Cowboy Caviar with Brady Bradford from the Southeastern Utah Health Department. This cooking series will be offered once a month till May of next year.
