SPRING GLEN– Sherril LuDean Burnside Marchello, 83, died September 30th, 2016 at the Heirloom Inn in Price with her loving family by her side.   She was born April 22, 1933 in Moroni, Utah to Clyde and Prele LuDean Blackham Burnside.

At a young age her family moved to Kenilworth, Utah for employment in the coal mine, where she resided until her marriage.

Mom married our Father, Clifford Edward Marchello, Oct. 29, 1952 in Spring Glen, Utah.  They were married 53 years.  They resided many years in the coal mining camp of Latuda, Utah for work in the coal mine.  There they made many friends and had great neighbors.  They then settled in Spring Glen, Utah where they raised their family and have lived ever since.

Dad passed away on Dec. 18th, 2005.

Mom was a stay at home mom and was always there when we needed her.  In her younger years she would make homemade bread once a week.  As kids we would steal the dough and make scones.  Best thing ever!  Dinner was always on the table and we always ate as a family.

Mom had many “Sherrilisms” like, “If wishes were fishes we’d all have a fine fry”, “If horse turds were biscuits, we’d eat ‘til we die” and “Old too soon, smart too late.”  There were many, some of which can’t be printed here. We all know them by heart and have heard them many, many times!  We catch ourselves using them all the time.  The Heirloom Staff even knows them!

Mom loved to cross stitch, watch her soapies, do genealogy and most of all make her weekly Saturday trip to Provo with Dad.  Most often they didn’t buy anything, but had to go.   They visited one or two favorite restaurants so often that when they walked in they were offered their usual table.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Sherril is finally at peace and has returned to her loved ones, especially her husband, mom and dad.

She is survived by her four children: Dean (Donette), Spring Glen; Janice (Kevin) Drolc, Price; Colleen (Keith) Haycock, Kenilworth and JoAnn (Wilfrido) Tapia, Orem.  10 grandchildren,  Mike, Trent, Amber Marchello, Soleil (JD) Melo, Brecquelyn Drolc, Chris Haycock, Keisen (Blair) Haycock, Brandie (Chris) Armstrong, Shantelle (James) Kenney, Scott Tapia.  14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. brother, Monte (Connie) Burnside, Kaysville, Utah, and brother-in-law Earl (May) Marchello, Price.
