Mark Nisonger was born July 12, 1961, the youngest child of David Chester and Venla Bone Nisonger and passed away on November 3, 2021.
He grew up in Southern California and later moved to Kamas, Utah where he met and married Cheryl Creer Nisonger. Together, they raised three children: Charadee Williams, Andrew Nisonger and Katie (Lee) Pulsifer.
Mark worked hard all of his life. Sometimes working as many as three jobs to provide for his family and allowing Cheryl to stay at home with their kids.
His resume was impressive and included a variety of jobs. He found a career working in the Ports of Entry under both the UHP and UDOT where he worked as a Port of Entry Agent and Truck Inspector. After his retirement, he went to work as an OTR truck driver and then came home to work locally driving a coal truck.
He lived an interesting life and many couldn’t believe things that he had accomplished. An avid treasure hunter and prospector. He was able to see many places and things. In recent years, he was able to work his own mine.
He was excited to have appeared as an extra in a major motion picture and to have done a segment in a TV documentary.
He enjoyed hiking, riding ATVs and camping with Cheryl and their dogs. He was always interested in the paranormal and loved visiting ghost towns and looking for old mines.
His grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and all they have accomplished.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, Kadia, McKaila, Damean and Michael; brothers, Allen (Elaine) and Kent (Barbara); sisters, Gail Nisonger Foster and Vicki (Brian) Maack. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. His best friends, his dogs, Belle, Wyatt and Moose.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maridee, Valerie, and Greg; niece, Lizzy; nephew, David.
He will be greatly missed by all.
