Longtime resident of Carbon County Robert “Bob” Krajnc, age 76, passed away due to liver failure November 11, 2021 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada surrounded by his family and grand dogs.

Bob was born September 17, 1945 in Price, Utah to Frank and Sylvia Cadez Krajnc.

He grew up in coal camps in the area until the family settled in Helper.  He always considered Helper home and was always bragging about his little league days there.  Bob graduated from Carbon High School and attended Utah State University.  He also served in the Utah National Guard.

Bob married his sweet pea Sidnee Colosimo September 9, 1978 in Price, Utah and she preceded him in death in 2014.  They were blessed with their beautiful daughter Mandee on January 10, 1980. Bob’s greatest love was his girls.  He was a devoted husband and care taker in Sidnee’ last years.  He was always Mandee’s hero, rock and cheerleader as well as her favorite sports watching buddy.

Bob served his career working as a correctional officer and jail commander in Carbon County until 2003.  He and Sidnee moved to Mesquite in 2009 where in Bob’s words “he didn’t have to shovel the sunshine.”  Bob was a devout member of the Catholic Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and coaching his nephew’s baseball team.  Golf became Bob’s favorite pastime after moving to Mesquite.  He could be found every Tuesday and Thursday on the course with the Beaver Dam Mafia Golf Club.  He loved every sport and would watch every ball game he could.  He was an avid Utah, Notre Dame, Utah State and Las Vegas Golden Knight fan.  He also loved his ”grand dogs” Bailee and Mia and would take them anywhere he went.

Survived by his daughter, Mandee, Mesquite, NV.; sister, Donna Russom, Franklin, ID., Betty (Jim) Madrigal, Helper, Sonja (Cliff) Alexander, Tuba City, AZ.; mother-in-law, Patricia (Dominic) Colosimo-Guarascio, Price; brother-in-law, Pat O’Neil, Price; many loving nieces and nephews.
