The Price City Culture Connection is hosting another concert on Thursday, December 9 at 7:00 pm. Price City Council Member, Layne Miller stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.
“It’s a group of young kids, local group, they have been formed and practicing. Everybody loves kids singing for Christmas, there is nothing more Christmas than that,” said Miller. The young group will share a wide array of Christmas-themed music for the audience to enjoy, and possibly sing along to.
The event will be held at the Price City Civic Auditorium on 185 East Main Street. “Doors open at 6:00 pm, we start at 7:00 pm. This group is girls ages 5 to 12 years old, so they’re young but I’ve heard them and they’re great,” stated Miller.
If you are unable to attend the concert in person you can stream it online by visiting the Price City Facebook page. “If you haven’t heard and seen our live-stream you will be shocked. The sound is fabulous, the video is terrific. We’ve done that on our own using local talent again,” explained Miller. The sound is very impressive when watching it on-line.
The next upcoming Culture Connection will be held on Thursday, January 13 at 7:00 pm and feature the bluegrass band, Picky Out The Stingers. “Now I can tell you, I listened to them this morning. They have a web page and a Facebook page and they are really good. From what I understand that name is a personal phrase that they have used or they used as family, and they adopted that as their group name, Picky Out The Stingers,” stated Miller. Picky Out the Stingers is a four-piece, acoustic string band. They play original music in styles across the bluegrass spectrum, including newgrass, country, honkytonk and more.
