The Pinnacle Panther boys team were riding a two game winning streak on Friday when they welcomed the Whitehorse Raiders to Price. The Raiders used the first quarter to control the remainder of the game and took the eight point win 52-44.

Whitehorse sits at 11-7 and 4-1 in conference and holds the No.7 spot in the most recent RPI ranking.  They also entered the game Friday winning six of their last eight.

Whitehorse jumped out to a seven point lead in the first quarter holding steady and pushing that lead to eight by halftime 28-20.

The two teams went back and forth in the second half. The Panthers would go through the third and cut the Raider lead to six. Moving to the fourth and final quarter, Whitehorse pushed the Panthers all the way to the final buzzer getting their lead back to eight on the way.

Cole Barton, who has really come on as of late scored a team high 13. Michael Schmitz added 12 with eight rebounds and three assists and Anthony Shumway scored eight with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Pinnacle carries a 6-7 record and is 2-1 in region play, they also reside in the No. 18 spot in the RPI. They have five games left on the schedule, all region contests.

Up first is a road game with No. 8 Monument Valley (5-3, 0-2 in region). Their two games after that are home contests with Monticello and Monument Valley, the game with Monument Valley will be Senior Night on Feb.4.

Pinnacle will close out the season on the road in Green River and then against Whitehorse on Feb. 15 which will end the regular season.

The post season for 1A will begin on Feb. 27.
