It’s time for Price City’s Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12 at 12:00 pm on Main Street.  Entries in the parade will need to check-in to line-up at 11:00 am on the corner of 600 East and 100 South. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Price City Council Member, Rick Davis and Parade Coordinator, Megan Marshall to discuss all the details.

“It is this Saturday; the parade starts at 12:00 pm. We have approximately five different categories that we’re going to be judging entrance on and it’s is going to be absolutely fantastic. We’ve got over 40 floats that have been registered to be in to this parade. It is going to be absolutely fantastic,” said Davis. There is still time to enter a float, a vehicle or even a walking group, all you have to do is register on the Price City website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/ Keep in mind that this is a great opportunity for free advertising, community involvement and the chance to dress in green.

“The Grand Marshall for this year is well known throughout the community, Mr. Bill Bate. He was principal, he was teacher, he’s been pulled out of retirement several times because he’s such a committed educator and has had such a positive impact on this entire community. We we’re thrilled to receive the numerous nominations for him, record breaking amount of nominations for Mr. Bate. He’s going to be our Grand Marshall this year, our 40th parade, if you can believe it,” stated Marshall. Mr. Bate, along with fellow educator, James Thompson were both recognized at the Price City Council meeting on Wednesday, March 9. Mr. Thompson was recently awarded Price City’s 2022 Excellence in Education Award for his years of educating students in the Carbon area. He too will be present during the St Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday.

Parade officials said the fun doesn’t have to stop after the parade, they urge everyone to visit the Notre Dame Hope Center’s annual Corned Beef and Cabbage luncheon scheduled to be open till 8:00 pm. There will be food, games and fun for the entire family.
