Game 1 14-3 Loss
Eastern fell behind early in the game and couldn’t pull back in a 14-3 loss. In 4, Snow collected 12 runs, in the bottom of the 4th inning the Eagles scored just one run, Zoey Rose (Fr) led off the inning with a hard ground ball single, advancing to 2nd on a throwing error, Skyler Lauver (So) hit an RBI single to left field bring Rose home. Madie Luck (So) roped a line drive double, moving Lauver to 3rd, but the Eagles couldn’t add another run in the inning. The Badgers add two more in the top of the 5th inning, bringing the score 14-1. Freshman, Graciee Christiansen, started the bottom of the 5th inning with a solo homerun, Ally Oyanguren (So) put another run on the board with a homerun with 1 out, Zoey Rose followed with a single to left field. Oakley Giacoletto(So) moves Rose to 2nd, Skyler Lauver singles on a ground ball, moving rose to 3rd , no more runs came across. Eastern had 11 hits during the game and Rose led at the plate going 3-3. Emma Marchant led things off in the circle allowing 5 hits and 5 runs, striking out 1 and walking 1 in 2 innings. Malorie Luck (So) and Oakley Giacoletto came in as relief.
Game 2 19-11 Loss
Four RBI’s from Marisa Bowman (So) weren’t enough as USU Eastern fell to Snow 19-11. Eastern matched Snow with 16 hits in the game. Snow got ahead in the 2nd inning scoring two, but Eastern answered back scoring two. Skyler Lauver doubled on a fly ball to center field, Malorie Luck hits a hard ground ball to third, holding up Lauver at second. Madie Luck hits a pop fly and reaches on an error, scoring Lauver, Luck (6) advances to 3rd, Luck (13) scored on a pass ball, bringing the score to 2-2. in the 3rd Bowman loaded up the bases, setting Lauver up for an RBI, keeping the bases loaded, but no other runs produced. The Eagles are trailing 9-3 going into the bottom of the 5th inning. Zoey Rose leads things off with a single, followed with a 2-run homerun for Bowman. Badgers score a couple in the 6th inning on home runs. Eastern led off the 6th inning with a line drive single by Mackenzie Wright (Fr), advancing to 2nd on a stolen base. Graciee Christiansen (Fr) moves Wright to 3rd on a ground out and Oyanguren follows with a Sacrifice Fly scoring Wright. Rose is walked, Bowman stays hot at the plate and hits another 2-run homerun, the Eagles still down 11-8. In the 7th inning Snow put up 8 more giving them a 19-8 lead, but the Eagle try to fight back. Malorie Luck leads off with a single to center field, advancing to 2nd on Quaylee Smuin’s single. Madie Luck continues the inning with an RBI single, moving Smuin to 2nd , Wright hits into a fielder’s choice putting Luck (13) on 3rd. Ally Oyanguren hit a double to center, scoring Luck (13) and Wright. The game ended with a score of 19-11. Madie Luck was the starting pitcher, allowing 6 hits and 4 runs, striking out 1 in 4 innings. Giacoletto and Luck (6) both came in for relief.
Game 3 15-7 Win
USUE got on the board early in the 1st inning starting with a single from Mackenzie Wright, Zoey Rose draws a walk, Wright advances to third on a stolen base, another steal from Wright on a wild pitch. Marisa Bowman triples to center, bringing in Rose to give the Eagles the 2-0 lead. Snow answered back in the top of the 2nd with a 2-run homerun. Two more runs in for Eastern on RBI’s from Madie Luck and Mackenzie Wright. Snow grabs the lead in the top of the 4th inning adding 3 runs to the board, 5-4. In a back and forth game, the Eagles scored 3 runs. A leadoff single from Graciee Christiansen sets Madie Luck up for an RBI single. Wright is safe at first putting runners on 1st and 2nd , Bowman doubles to add another run, Zoey Rose scores on a passed ball, giving the Eagles the lead at the end of the inning, 7-5. Another even score in the 5th inning with 2 runs from Snow. Eastern came back in the 5th inning scoring 6 runs, with a homerun from Zoey Rose & added one more in the 6th for the win. Skyler Lauver led off the inning and Malorie Luck followed with the walk off homerun. Emma Marchant got the start for the Eagles giving up 7 runs and 7 hits, striking out two in 4 innings. Oakley Giacoletto came in for relief. Eastern collected 15 hits in the game, Wright led at the plate going 4-4.
Game 4 22-11 Loss
Eastern fell early to Snow, but despite the loss, the Eagles collected 14 hits. Marisa Bowman went 3-5 at the plate with one homerun. Snow out hit Eastern with 19 hits. Madie Luck started the game and lasted on inning allowing 5 hits and 7 runs. After Snow scored 2 in the top of the 3rd inning, Eastern answered back with 2, a homerun form Ally Oyanguren and an RBI from Graciee Christiansen. Marisa Bowman, Madie Luck, Skyler Lauver, Malorie Luck and Mackenzie Wright each gathered multiple hits.
