
The Lady Dinos are facing Emery for the final time this regular season on Friday, but Thursday they made the trip over the mountain to Mount Pleasant to face the North Sanpete Hawks. Neither team got anything going offensively until the fourth inning, but in the end it was Carbon that walked away with the 7-4 win.
Tenley Madsen and Haven Byerly took care of the pitching duties for the Dinos with Madsen putting in five innings of work giving up two earned on five hits and Byerly went the final two giving up two runs as well.
Both Carbon and North Sanpete couldn’t find their offense early on, the Dinos put the first run on the board in the top of the fourth, however the Hawks would come back and tie-up the score.
Carbon added three more in the fifth, and added another two in the sixth.
Byerly helped her own cause with two RBI’s and one hit. Makayla Scovill went 2-5 adding an RBI,Mollie Horsley, Stevie Oman and Madsen all added an RBI in the win.
Up next for the Lady Dinos is a match-up with the Emery Lady Spartans on Friday.
These two team faced off on April 1 and it was Carbon coming away with the 15-0 win.
