
The Lady Dinos started out their busy week on Monday when they welcomed the No. 13 Grand County Red Devils to Price. Carbon is loaded this week with four games in four days and started out right, with a big 17-1 win over the Red Devils in four innings.
Gianna Bruno went yard twice in the contest collecting six RBI’s along the way. Gabrielle Vasquez put one over the wall scoring one run as well. Tenley Madsen was on the mound getting the complete game giving up just three hits and one run.
Carbon started out by putting up eight runs in the first two innings. In the last two games the Lady Dinos have scored 17 runs in their first two innings, and maintained their lead throughout both games.
Grand came up in the top of the third putting up their only run of the contest and Carbon came roaring back in the bottom half of the inning with five runs of their own. The Dinos also added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth ending the contest.
Haven Byerly showed off her offense, registering a double and a pair of RBI’s and Makayla Scovill had a double as well adding three RBI’s in the region win.
Carbon sits at 14-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Region 12 play, all the while maintaining the No. 1 spot in the 3A RPI.
The Lady Dinos will get back after it Tuesday at home when they welcome the No. 11 Juab Wasps to Price.
Game time is set for 3:30 at the soft ball complex at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
