Our beautiful mom, grandma and great-grandma, Jessie Loretta Lee Peterson, passed away April 18, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1940 to Clifford Clark and Olive Louisa Russell Lee in Price, Utah.

Mom was raised in Price along with nine siblings. A younger brother passed away soon after birth, making 11 children. She enjoyed sharing memories of her childhood, which she loved, ranging from bathing in a tub in the kitchen, climbing trees in the orchard with her favorite nephew, Rodger, trips to Nine Mile, being chased by the rooster on her way to the outhouse, to watching her mother bake bread and pies for their large family on the wood cook stove.

She met and eventually married Allen (Tim) Peterson on November 1, 1958. They raised four children, Debbie (Glen) Fredrickson, Price, Allen (Tami) Peterson, Wellington, Todd (Cindy) Peterson, Elko, Nevada, Laurie (Richard) Safley, Price. They were also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight heavenly great-grandchildren.

Mom loved springtime when she could be found working out in her yard and planting flowers. She also loved rides in the mountains with dad, being with family, holding her grandbabies, camping, riding 4-wheelers, quilting, puzzles in the winter, going to lunch with her girls and Diet Pepsi. She was an excellent cook. She made the best homemade bread and scones. Her family always looked forward to her Thanksgiving dinner and pies. Nothing ever tasted as good as when mom made it. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker, sacrificing a lot for her family. We were so grateful for her tender care to our dad during his long illness.

She also enjoyed working at the Sun Advocate for several years with family and good friends.

Mom is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse; sisters, Thelma Atwood, Dorothy Livingston, Cora Bradley, Shirley Duran, and Kenna Mutz; brothers, Clark Lee, Blake Lee, Arthur Lee, Harrison (Hud) Lee, and Terry Lee.

Funeral service, Monday, April 25, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery next to her beloved Tim.
