The Lady Dinos were back on the field Wednesday for the third time in three days. making it through the first two days going 2-0, Carbon kept the streak alive taking down Region 12 member the Richfield Wildcats 11-0 in five innings.

Tenley Madsen handled the pitching duties and the Wildcats, getting a no hitter in five innings of work.

Offensively, Carbon got started early scoring all 11 runs in the first three innings. It was Reese Ardohain’s day going 2-3 at the plate with four RBI’s, none bigger than her three run shot over the center field wall that drove in Gabrielle Vasquez and Maddix Whiteside.

Madsen would help her own cause with a 2-3 performance driving in two runs and Gianna Bruno continued her great week going 2-3 and adding two more RBI’s.

The Dinos are now 16-3 overall and a perfect 5-0 in Region 12 play and have held on to the No.1 spot in the 3A RPI since it was released by the Utah High School Activities Association on April 1.

Carbon has had a very busy week with games so far against Grand, Juab and Richfield all of which have been wins and they have also all been on their home field. With six games remaining on the schedule and half of them with region competition Carbon will be looking to finish out the regular season strong and keep the No. 1 ranking headed into the state tournament that starts on May 7 at pod home sites, the final rounds will be played at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex beginning on May 12.
