Price City is excited to be hosting a Renaissance Fair on May 7 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Peace Gardens at 185 East Main Street. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Coordinator, Megan Marshall to discuss all the details.
“The Salt Lake City Crusaders they are a very talented group of men and women who do armored combat. This is not LARPing, this is full-on steel armor, swords, axes and they are going to be having full on combat fights in the ring, in the Peace Gardens. These guys travel all over the country to do this and so we were thrilled that they were available on this weekend to come down and be our headlining entertainment,” said Marshall. The group was formed in 2013 and are Utah’s premiere, armored combat team. Event organizers are very excited to bring this type of entertainment to the Castle Country area.
“The entire event has completed exploded. We’re taking up one block of Main Street, all of Peace Gardens, the parking lot behind. We’ve got kids games and activities including a carousel, bounce house, contests and games, the jousting tournament is going to be so much fun,” explained Marshall. There will be several different vendors on site that will be selling items that are related to the renaissance era. There will be an after-party at the Ramada Inn Sports Page Bar at 9:00 pm that will feature the outdoor fire performers at 9:30 pm.
This event would not be possible without help from local sponsors like Price City, Waste and Water Logistics, and Carbon Medical. To learn more about the Renaissance Fair visit the Price City website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/ or their Facebook page.
