The St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Carnival will be held at the Helper Civic Auditorium located at 22 South Main on Thursday, November 3, Friday, November 4 and will conclude on the night of Saturday, November 5.
Erica Kardelis, an event organizer talked about the delicious dinners, “Thursday night is our turkey dinner and that starts at 4:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. You can do take-out if you can’t stay, you can buy tickets in advance from anybody at St. Anthony’s or pay at the door. On Saturday we’re also having another special dinner that’s our Mexican Dinner night; that also starts at 4:00 pm but it only runs till 6:30 pm.”
Doors open on both Friday and Saturday night at 6:30 pm. “Friday and Saturday that’s our traditional carnival, that’s when we have our booths and our kid games and things like that. There is also food – hamburger, hot dogs, kielbasa that type of thing, and the treat booth with all the homemade goodies, you can’t miss that,” said Kardelis
The big opportunity drawings will be presented on Saturday night. “I would like to thank the businesses of Carbon and Emery county; they are so good to us each year. Really it’s their donations that become our prizes. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring the kids so if you can help my little church on Main Street, I’d really appreciate it,” stated Kardelis.
All proceeds from the carnival go to the church’s charitable and civic involvements.
