Betty Barham Slaven “Aunt Betty”, age 74, passed away October 26, 2016 after fighting a short but courageous battle with leukemia.

She was born May 26, 1942 in Spring Glen, Utah to Donald Lloyd and Virginia Granger Barham. Married Walter Slaven, April 22, 1990 in LaMirada, California. He passed away on September 23, 2014.

Betty enjoyed attending church and her bible studies. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking and giving back to anyone in need.  She always had a hot cup of coffee and something homemade to eat for anyone who wanted to stop and visit.  Betty will be dearly missed by her family.

Survived by her children, Daniel Allred, Price, UT, Ginger Basso, Price, UT, Dale (Brenda) Allred,  Tunnell Hill, GA, Isaac (Rachel) Felter, Corona, Ca; brother, Jack (Liz) Barham, Orlando, FL; step-sons, Chris (Joyce) Slaven, Fontana, CA, Matt (Stacey) Slaven,  Lititz, PA, Jeremy Slaven, Draper, UT;  14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; special sister, Lori (Roger) Nielsen.

Memorial service Saturday, November 5, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Betty at www.mitchellfuneral home.net.
