Coming off a win on Friday that clinched a region title for the Dinos, Carbon was back on the field on Monday in Roosevelt to face the Union Cougars. Both teams scored all of their goals in the first half and turned up the defense in the second as Carbon came home with a 2-1 victory in the final game of the regular season.

The region title was the first for the Dinos in recent memory as the Dinos put up a 7-1 record in conference play as well as a 9-5 record overall.

The RPI is a ranking that is created based on winning percentage, opponents winning percentage and opponents opponents winning percentage. The numbers are compiled everyday during the season and then when the regular season comes to a close the final rankings are used to seed teams in the state tournament.

When it was last available to view the Dinos sat at No. 13 in the RPI, we will need to wait untill Wednesday to see where they will land, as well as who they will face in the playoffs which start on April 29.

The first round will be played at home sites, check back with Castle Country Radio for the final RPI rankings and where and who the Dinos will be playing.
