Carbon added another run off the bat of Horsley in the fifth and then another pair of runs in the sixth when Byerly sent one to center that let both Gianna Bruno and Scovill put runs up making the score 9-1 headed to the top of the seventh. Union could only add a pair of runs on a pair of doubles before the Dinos would close them out for the win.
The Lady Dinos have one more game on the regular season schedule and it doesn’t get much bigger, a contest with the Canyon View Falcons for the region title. Carbon sits at 19-5 with a 5-2 record, a win would give them the region title and then the wait for Friday begins.
