The Price Boys and Girls Club is winding down with its after-school program now that school is nearing the end of the academic year. They are looking forward to hosting their summer programs which are slated to begin June 13 running through till August 5. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Director, Quakee Tabone to talk about the summer programs.
“We are signing up right now, we’re taking as many registrations as we possible can so that we can benefit as many kids in the community as we can,” said Tabone. The hours of operation for the summer program are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The extended hours are sure to help parents out with supervision during the summer months. The cost for the entire summer program is $20.00 per child.
There are many fun, educational, activities that take place during the summer months. “As always, we try to throw a little bit of fun in there. We have Summer Brain Game, that’s our fun academic side. Then we have multiple activities that they get to do throughout the day, they go to the Peace Gardens every day. We have field trips coming up, they’re going to do a soccer camp, and like always we participate in International Days,” said Tabone. The summer program is open to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Summer program registration is currently taking place. “Come on down to our club we’re at 60 East 100 North in Price and fill out an application, you can take it and bring it back or fill it out right there in the club. It’s a $20.00 registration fee for the whole summer and get your kid signed up and they can come and have a great summer,” said Tabone.
