1st Sgt/Ret. Malon Kiggins, 81, passed away June 9, 2022 at his home in Price. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Aleta Zobell Kiggins; five daughters, Debra (Darrell) Jensen, Marcia (David) Dibble, Corrie (Dana) Ence, Allycia (Ryan) Neff and Chantel (Jack) Andrews; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was born March 27, 1941 in Provo, Utah to William Elmo and Edna Mae Draper Kiggins. Malon had eight brothers and sisters.
Malon wanted to be in the U.S. Army when he was a very young child and he never wavered from that decision. He entered the Army at the age of 17 and served his country honorably for the next 23 years. Malon was given the honor of being a home town recruiter, something that only the best of the best could be! In 1983, he retired at the age of 38. After retirement, Malon worked at Geneva Steel and as a Salt Lake County Sheriff Deputy.
Malon was strong, loyal, outgoing and patriotic. He had a unique sense of humor and a wicked temper. Malon loved his family more than life itself. Mom and Dad were always together. He would constantly tell her or anyone who was close how very very much he loved her. Dad, we love you and we will miss you. You are forever in our hearts; until we meet again.
Per Malon’s request there will be no services at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Malon online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
