Gary Ray Thayn, age 67, passed away on July 13, 2022 in the comforts of his home surrounded by his family after dealing with COPD and Emphysema for a very long time.
Gary was born in Woodland, California on July 5, 1955 to Gary Joe Thayn Sr. and LaRita Livingston Thayn. He was the third child to be born in his family. Gary was raised most of his life in California, however, due to his parents divorce he was living back and forth from Utah to California.

In December of 1975, he was Honorably Discharged. Following his time in the Navy, Gary did odd jobs until 1976. This was then when his brother taught him how to drive big trucks. Gary was a lifer behind them wheels; he was very seldom out of work. As old truck drivers; the old saying was, “we were a dime, a dozen, not anymore.”
Gary was married in 1977 to Debrah Thomas Thayn. Together, they had two boys, Joshua R Thayn, Anitoch, California and Brandon (Amanda) Thayn, Rio Vista, California. Between his two boys he was blessed with eight grandchildren. Gary and Debrah then later divorced in 1984.
