Carbon High School football coach Phil Howa was a guest Tuesday on KOAL's Drive Time Sports to recap the team's 31-13 victory over Grand on Friday. During his time on the show, Howa talked about the team's performance over the first two games of the season and also previewed Friday's matchup against Ogden. Emery High School boy's basketball Dave Justice was a guest on KOAL's Drive Time Sports, recapping the 2024-25 season with Jordan Buscarini. The Spartans ended the season 12-14 overall, advancing to the quarterfinals of the 3A state championship tournament with an upset win over American Heritage. The season came to a close with back-to-back losses to Morgan and South Summit.
