Carbon soccer squared up with Juab in Nephi on Thursday night, and were caught up in a tight one before lightening led to the suspension of play. Carbon and Juab had played to a 3-3 tie after two overtime periods and were getting ready to head into a shoot out when the game was stopped due to weather.

The Dinos are now at 5-2-1 this season with big wins over Delta, Parowan, Union and Grantsville, and preparing to begin region play on Tuesday when they will welcome Canyon View to Price.

Carbon and Juab played this game as close as you could play it, taking the contest into extra time being tied at three goals each. The Dinos and Wasps played two overtime periods and still couldn’t settle on a winner.

The two teams were getting ready to move to the shoot out when impeding weather brought lightening and the decision was made to suspend play ending the contest in a tie.

For the Lady Dinos Ada Bradford found the back of the net as did Kacie Brady and Allie Smith.

The Dinos will dive into region play on Tuesday when they will face Canyon View, in fact, the first three league games will all be at home. After Canyon View they welcome Richfield on Thursday Sept. 1 and then Emery on Sept. 8.

All games including Tuesday’s with Canyon View will begin at 4 p.m..
